A Merindilogun Reading is a type of divination practiced in the Yoruba religion that uses cowrie shells to communicate with the Orishas, or Ancestor Spirits. The name Merindilogun comes from the Yoruba phrase "owó mẹ́rìndínlógún", which literally means "sixteen cowries" or "four taken from 20".

During a Merindilogun reading, a diviner will cast 16 cowrie shells onto a wooden tray while asking your  question about the future. It is used as a framework for guiding, teaching, protecting, and healing all aspects of life.
